Chelsea Advance to Conference League Semifinals Despite Home Defeat

Chelsea have secured a place in the UEFA Conference League semifinals, progressing on aggregate despite a 2-1 defeat to Legia Warsaw at Stamford Bridge tonight.

Marc Cucurella opened the scoring for the Blues in the 33rd minute, but Legia struck back with goals from Tomáš Pekhart (penalty) and Steve Kapuadi. The match ended 2-1 in favor of the visitors, but Chelsea’s strong 3-0 win in the first leg ensured a 4-2 aggregate victory.

Head coach Enzo Maresca will be relieved to progress, but the performance raised some eyebrows, especially with Chelsea’s defense appearing shaky throughout the second half.

The Blues will now prepare for their Premier League clash against Fulham this Sunday, April 20, as they look to build momentum heading into the final stretch of the season.

Key Highlights:

Final Score: Chelsea 1–2 Legia Warsaw (Aggregate: 4–2)

Chelsea Goalscorer: Marc Cucurella (33’)

Legia Goalscorers: Tomáš Pekhart, Steve Kapuadi
