FULL-TIME: ATLÉTICO MADRID 2-0 MANCHESTER UNITED! 😳🔴
Manchester United suffer another painful defeat in Europe! 💔
Atlético Madrid have defeated Manchester United 2-0 in the UEFA Champions League after a disappointing night for Michael Carrick’s men. 🇪🇸🔥
⚽ 1’ — Pablo Barrios: Atlético struck almost immediately, scoring within the opening minute and putting United under pressure from the start.
🟥 Leny Yoro sent off: Manchester United’s night got even worse when Yoro received a red card after a VAR review, leaving the Red Devils with 10 men.
⚽ 79’ — Jonathan David: Atlético took advantage of their numerical superiority as David scored the second goal to seal the victory.
Despite having opportunities to get back into the game, United struggled to find the finishing touch, while Atlético showed greater composure and tactical discipline. 👏
💔 Another difficult night for Manchester United fans. Questions will surely be asked about the team’s performance, defensive organisation and inability to convert chances.
🔴 Can Michael Carrick turn things around, or is Manchester United heading for another disappointing European campaign?
