# Manchester United’s Crisis Deepens After 2-0 Defeat to Chelse
Manchester United suffered another disappointing defeat on Saturday after losing 2-0 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, further increasing the pressure on head coach Michael Carrick.
The encounter remained goalless at half-time, with United showing attacking promise but failing to convert their opportunities.
Chelsea broke the deadlock five minutes into the second half through Morgan Rogers, who finished brilliantly to put the hosts ahead.
United’s afternoon took another difficult turn in the 63rd minute when Lisandro Martínez was sent off after receiving a second yellow card.
Just a minute later, Cole Palmer converted the resulting penalty to double Chelsea’s advantage and put the game beyond United’s reach.
Despite their efforts, Manchester United could not find a response as Chelsea secured all three points.
The result extends United’s winless run to nine matches in all competitions, leaving Carrick under increasing scrutiny as questions continue to emerge over the team’s performances.
Chelsea, meanwhile, strengthened their push for a place in the Premier League’s top four.
