Ian Wright Slams Erling Haaland for “Cowardly” Move on Gabriel
Arsenal legend Ian Wright has blasted Manchester City striker Erling Haaland for his “cowardly” move on Gabriel during their weekend clash. Wright, known for his outspoken views, took to social media to express his disgust.
“I’ve been silent about what transpired yesterday in our game against City… Trossard was sent off, and we’re used to suffering such atrocities due to shameless officials,” Wright began.
However, it was Haaland’s actions that truly incensed Wright:
“What Haaland did to Gabriel was so cowardly. I mean, we’re talking about one of the best defenders in the world against one of the best strikers in the world. But what Haaland did was a cowardly move because he feared facing him eye-to-eye.”
Wright emphasized that watching the incident again this morning only strengthened his feelings:
“I saw it this morning properly. That’s what bothered me more than anything else…”.
