Jürgen Klopp Slams Club World Cup Plans: “Worst Idea Ever Implemented in Football” 🌍
Liverpool’s former manager Jürgen Klopp has made headlines once again, this time taking direct aim at FIFA’s expanded Club World Cup plans.
> “The Club World Cup is the worst idea ever implemented in football. People who have never had anything to do with the day-to-day business are coming up with ideas,” Klopp said, expressing his frustration with what he sees as a growing disconnect between football authorities and the realities players and coaches face.
⚠️ Klopp didn’t stop there. The German tactician also raised serious concerns about player welfare:
> “I fear that next season players will suffer injuries they’ve never had before. If not, then it’ll happen at the World Cup or afterwards.”
💬 His comments come amid growing criticism of the congested football calendar, with players facing more games, longer seasons, and shorter recovery periods.
