Leeds United stunned the Championship with a ruthless 6-0 win over Stoke City at Elland Road. Joël Piroe was the hero of the day, netting four goals in the first half to take his season tally to 19. Junior Firpo and Wilfried Gnonto added their names to the scoresheet in a flawless team performance. The win took Leeds to 94 points, setting a club record and marking a triumphant return under manager Daniel Farke.
Just hours later, Burnley confirmed their top-flight return with a 2-1 win over Sheffield United at Turf Moor. Captain Josh Brownhill led the charge with both goals, ensuring Burnley also reached 94 points and ended Sheffield United’s hopes of catching up. This marks manager Scott Parker’s third promotion to the Premier League — an incredible achievement.
Both clubs will now turn their focus to the 2025/26 Premier League season, with fixtures to be released on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 09:00 BST.
