Manchester United Crush Athletic Club to Reach Europa League Final

Manchester United delivered a thrilling performance at Old Trafford today, defeating Athletic Club 4–1 in the second leg of the UEFA Europa League semi-final. This emphatic win secured a 7–1 aggregate victory, booking their place in the final against Tottenham Hotspur on May 21 in Bilbao.

Athletic Club took the lead in the 31st minute through Mikel Jauregizar, but United responded fiercely in the second half. Mason Mount scored twice (72′, 90’+1′), Casemiro added another in the 79th minute, and Rasmus Højlund sealed the win in the 85th minute.

With this result, Manchester United remain unbeaten in European competition this season and will be aiming to lift the Europa League trophy once again. Their next match is in the Premier League against West Ham United on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at 2:15 PM.
