OFFICIAL: Erik Lamela Retires from Professional Football

Argentine midfielder Erik Lamela has officially announced his retirement from professional football at the age of 33.

After an incredible career that saw him play for clubs like River Plate, AS Roma, Tottenham Hotspur, Sevilla, and most recently AEK Athens, Lamela is now set for a new chapter in football.

The former Tottenham star, known for his flair and iconic rabona goals, has joined Matías Almeyda’s coaching staff at Sevilla FC. This marks a return to the club where Lamela lifted the UEFA Europa League trophy in 2023.
