Transfer Update: Arsenal Yet to Bid for Šeško, Monitoring Gyökeres Situation 👀
Arsenal are treading carefully in the summer transfer market, especially when it comes to strengthening their attacking options.
🔴 According to reports, the Gunners have not made an official offer for Benjamin Šeško despite strong interest. The main stumbling block appears to be RB Leipzig’s hefty valuation of the Slovenian striker, which stands between €80–100 million. 🇸🇮
While Šeško remains a target, Arsenal are reportedly unwilling to meet that price, raising doubts over a potential deal.
Meanwhile, the North London club are also keeping a close eye on Viktor Gyökeres. The Swedish forward had a phenomenal season with Sporting CP, and while there was a verbal agreement around a €60–70 million price tag, there is now some uncertainty over whether Sporting will stick to that.
🇸🇪 Gyökeres remains a viable alternative for Arsenal if the Šeško deal proves too expensive — but nothing concrete has materialized yet.
📝 It’s clear Mikel Arteta and Edu are being strategic, looking for the right balance between quality and financial prudence.
