BREAKING: Luis Henrique’s Move to Roma Is OFF
What looked like a possible move for Luis Henrique to AS Roma has now collapsed.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the proposed deal between Roma and Inter for the Brazilian winger is currently off. Importantly, Romano reports that the agreement was never actually close to completion, despite the transfer links gaining momentum in recent weeks.
The Player’s Decision Changed Everything
Inter were prepared to approve Luis Henrique’s departure, but the biggest obstacle came from the player himself.
Luis Henrique never agreed personal terms with Roma.
That ultimately prevented the transfer from moving forward, with Roma now considering the operation off.
The situation is particularly interesting because earlier reports had suggested Roma and Inter had reached a framework worth around €30 million including bonuses, with the final green light from the Brazilian still required.
That green light never arrived.
🟡 Roma Must Look Elsewhere
Luis Henrique had attracted the attention of Roma manager Gian Piero Gasperini, largely because of his versatility.
The Brazilian can operate as a wing-back while also contributing in more advanced attacking positions, making him an attractive option for Gasperini’s tactical system.
But with the deal now off, Roma will have to turn their attention elsewhere.
Reports indicate that Jayden Oosterwolde could now take up the wing-back role Roma had been looking to strengthen.
🔵 What Happens to Luis Henrique?
For Inter, the situation is straightforward: they were willing to sanction the exit, but without an agreement between the player and Roma, the transfer cannot happen.
Luis Henrique therefore remains an Inter player for now.
What initially looked like a transfer that could reach the final stages has instead ended without an agreement.
No “Here We Go.” No medical. No move to Rome.
Just another reminder that in the transfer market, a club-to-club agreement means very little until the player says yes.
Luis Henrique to Roma: DEAL OFF.
