Ferran Torres Joins an Exclusive PSG Club
Ferran Torres could hardly have scripted a better start to life in Paris.
Making his competitive debut for Paris Saint-Germain against Rennes, the Spanish forward came off the bench with PSG trailing 2–0 and produced a sensational second-half brace to rescue a 2–2 draw in the opening game of the 2026/27 Ligue 1 campaign.
But the comeback was only part of the story.
A PSG debut to remember
Torres needed just around 37 minutes on the pitch to score twice. Both goals were assisted by Fabián Ruiz, with the first arriving in the 71st minute before Torres completed the comeback in the 83rd.
With that brace, Torres became only the third player in PSG history to score twice on his debut.

And considering Torres had only recently joined PSG from Barcelona on a deal reported at around €50 million, his immediate impact will certainly excite supporters. PSG officially confirmed that the Spanish forward signed a contract running until 2031 and will wear the No. 9 shirt.
Luis Enrique also has another reason to be pleased. The PSG boss brought Torres on at half-time alongside other substitutes, and the Spaniard’s impact completely changed the game.
