Barcelona Advance to Champions League Semi-Finals Despite Loss in Dortmund

FC Barcelona are through to the UEFA Champions League semi-finals after surviving a scare in Germany. Despite a 3-1 loss to Borussia Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park tonight, Barça progressed with a 5-3 aggregate victory, thanks to their emphatic 4-0 win in the first leg at the Camp Nou.

Dortmund came out firing, inspired by Serhou Guirassy who scored a brilliant hat trick, pushing the home crowd to believe in a dramatic comeback. But Robert Lewandowski’s vital goal for Barcelona eased the pressure and ensured the Catalans booked their ticket to the next round.
