Kanu Nwankwo: “Now is the Time for Osimhen to Chase the Money, Not More Fame”
Nigerian football legend Kanu Nwankwo has shared his honest thoughts on the next chapter of Victor Osimhen’s career — and he didn’t hold back.
> “He has made a name already. He’s known, he’s famous, he’s a legend… Victor Osimhen’s history can’t be forgotten in many years to come. Now, he needs to go for money. There’s time for everything — and this is the time for money, not more fame.”
With Osimhen reportedly attracting huge offers from Saudi Arabia, and clubs in Turkey still pushing for his signature, Kanu believes it’s a no-brainer.
> “It’s a wrong advice to ask Osimhen to remain in Turkey 🇹🇷 while he is wanted in Saudi with a bag of money 💰. Let me be frank with you — I can’t advise my own son to keep chasing fame after fame. Remember, you need money to remain famous.”
The former Arsenal and Inter Milan forward concluded with a heartfelt message:
> “I wish him good luck and I extend my best wishes to all Nigerian players out there. 🇳🇬💚🦅🦅”
