Spain Make History With Incredible Unbeaten Run 🇪🇸🔥

Spain continue to rewrite the history books.

La Roja have extended their extraordinary unbeaten run in men’s international football, reaching 41 consecutive matches without defeat after a convincing 3–1 victory over the Czech Republic in the UEFA Nations League.

The latest victory came at the Carlos Tartiere Stadium in Oviedo, where Spain produced another impressive performance despite facing periods of pressure from their opponents.

🇪🇸 Yamal, Rodri & Merino on the scoresheet

Spain took control early when Lamine Yamal opened the scoring in the sixth minute with another outstanding finish.

Captain Rodri then doubled Spain’s advantage in the 35th minute, giving Luis de la Fuente’s side a comfortable lead before the break.

The Czech Republic managed to pull one goal back through Jiří Sláma, creating a tense spell in the second half. However, Spain eventually restored their two-goal cushion when Mikel Merino found the net late in the game to seal a 3–1 victory.

📈 A remarkable streak

The victory extended Spain’s unbeaten run to 41 matches, continuing a sequence that has seen the national team go through some of the biggest moments in modern international football without losing.

The current run began in March 2024, following Spain’s 1–0 friendly defeat to Colombia. Since then, La Roja have continued to collect victories and draws while competing against some of the strongest national teams in the world.

During this remarkable period, Spain have also added major silverware to their collection, including UEFA EURO 2024 and the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

🏆 From record-breaking to historic

Spain had already surpassed Italy’s previous 37-match competitive unbeaten record during their incredible run. FIFA previously listed Spain at 38 matches unbeaten after their 2026 World Cup triumph over Argentina, before the streak continued into the Nations League.

And the run has not simply been built against lesser opposition. Spain have repeatedly faced top-level international competition while maintaining their consistency.

Under Luis de la Fuente, the team has developed a strong blend of experienced players and exciting young talent. The emergence of players such as Lamine Yamal, alongside established stars including Rodri and others, has helped keep Spain competitive at the highest level.

🌟 Lamine Yamal continues to shine

One of the biggest stories surrounding this Spain team is the continued development of Lamine Yamal.

The young forward once again found the net against Czechia, adding another memorable moment to what has already been an extraordinary international career.

De la Fuente has repeatedly praised Yamal’s talent and development, describing him as a player who continues to surprise the team with his quality and potential.

🔥 Spain are not finished yet

Despite reaching another historic milestone, Spain’s journey continues.

The Spanish side remain top of their Nations League group after winning their opening three matches, and they are already preparing for their next challenge against Croatia.

With the unbeaten streak continuing to grow, the question is no longer simply how long Spain can remain unbeaten — it is how far this remarkable run can go.

One thing is certain:

Spain are writing another extraordinary chapter in international football history. 🇪🇸🔥

41 games unbeaten. A world title won during the run. And the streak continues.
