Hugo Broos Accuses Nigeria of Influencing FIFA’s Decision Against South Africa
South Africa’s head coach, Hugo Broos, has voiced his frustration following FIFA’s decision to deduct three points from Bafana Bafana for fielding an ineligible player — and he believes Nigeria had a hand in it.
🗣️ Broos said:
> “Not Lesotho, not me and my staff, and not the player in question were aware of any wrongdoing. Neither was FIFA… It’s not normal, is it?”
He further claimed that:
> “No doubt due to pressure from Nigeria, which was in a losing position and now has a chance again. If this costs us the World Cup, it will be truly heartbreaking.”
