REAL MADRID EDGE VILLARREAL 1-0 AS YAN DIOMANDÉ SCORES HIS FIRST GOAL! 🤍
Real Madrid secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Villarreal at the Santiago Bernabéu, but the result was overshadowed by a dramatic red card for Vinícius Júnior. 😳🟥
🇨🇮 YAN DIOMANDÉ MAKES HIS MARK!
The breakthrough came in the 62nd minute when Yan Diomandé found the back of the net with a clinical finish, scoring his first goal for Real Madrid and giving Los Blancos a crucial lead. ⚽👏
The young forward delivered a memorable moment, sending the Madrid faithful into celebration and proving his ability to make an impact on the biggest stage.
🟥 VINÍCIUS JR. SENT OFF AFTER VAR DRAMA!
The match took a shocking turn when Vinícius thought he had doubled Madrid’s lead, only for VAR to intervene. His goal was disallowed after footage showed him pulling Villarreal defender Nathan Saliba’s hair, resulting in a red card.
The Brazilian winger now faces the possibility of suspension, putting his availability for the highly anticipated El Clásico against Barcelona on October 25 in doubt. He has also apologised to his teammates and Real Madrid supporters. 😬
🧤 MADRID HOLD ON FOR THREE POINTS!
Despite being reduced to ten men, José Mourinho’s side showed defensive resilience to protect their narrow advantage and secure all three points.
It was not the most convincing attacking display from Los Blancos, but the victory keeps them in the La Liga title race as they continue chasing league leaders Barcelona. 🤍🏆
📅 WHAT’S NEXT?
Real Madrid will turn their attention to their upcoming fixtures, with a clash against Sevilla before the massive El Clásico showdown against Barcelona.
